a whole other level
Went to park central last night and met mark and jay from chilled heat. Those guys can skate! I’ve never seen vert and mini skating like that in real life before. The photo above shows mark doing one of numerous airs on the vert ramp - consistent too, I was trying to take pictures but the flash on my digital camera wouldn’t charge quick enough between shots.
As for me, I did my usual sketching around on the mini, and a bit of pumping on the vert ramp. I need to sort out frontside and backside grinds again on the mini, because my repertoire is a bit limited (i.e to rock n rolls and rock to fakies). I’m also trying to get comfortable with frontside kickturns, which I can do but feel completely alien. I found myself out of breath after a few minutes - stopping skating takes it’s toll on fitness!
