it does. and I should know because I did this morning. The big soft wheels and flex of the board make the ride smooth and effortless, even over the bumpy bits. It’s true - size does make a difference - my long one provides a much more satisfying ride (ooh matron).
downsides: lack of a kicktail (and me forgetting that I have no kicktail) led to some hairy moments, plus dismounting (for things like steps, kerbs, cobbles) is a bit less elegant because I can’t pop the board up into my hands, and I certainly won’t be ollieing up any kerbs on it.
and damn it looks good
