Where to skate in the wet?
As I sailed home (literally) in the wind and rain last night it reminded me that I haven’t found anywhere decent to skate in the wet. Back in the day in Wisbech, we had a number of spots for rainy day skating - derelict buildings mostly, where we would drag a few jump ramps, palletes and kerb blocks, and skate through the winter. At 30 and living in a city i’m not into the idea of hanging around derelict buildings to skate, so it looks like my rainy day choices are going to be the churchill mini-ramp (a car trip away) and skate and ride (packed on rainy days), or trips down the motorway to Newport, Birmingham or Taunton.
