This skateboard has been fallen off due to leaves on the pavement
I knew I was tempting fate this morning skating this morning with soggy leaves all over the pavement. It was crowded too - not my usual route, but up in Clifton from wifes workplace on whiteladies road down to the Triangle. couldn’t resist it though.
I did fine until I reached queens road - a crowded part, where about three seperate queues of traffic were waiting, bored and watching the skateboarder weaving in and out of pedestrians. I was moving a bit fast so decided to limit my speed with a bit of foot dragging, the foot hit wet leaves and i’m on my arse. The board is running away towards unsuspecting ankles so I jump straight up and jump back on it. now i’m going even faster than I was before and i’ve been rolling around on the wet floor, hoping it was in fact leaves and not dog shit I slipped on.
I’m grinning though, all the rest of the way and people further down the road don’t know why
