embracing the new school part III
I now have a new school set up, and just reminded myself why hard wheels on UK pavements are such a bad idea, as I took it for a test spin to Als Tikka Grill - slow, bumpy, loud - no wonder people hardly use skateboards as transport these days. Found a smooth stretch of mid road worn tarmac and tried a few ollies, and amazingly didn’t die (dark road, new board and a couple of glasses of wine). The ollies were fairly weak heightwise, but at speed and stayed in a straight line which is unusual for me. The board (mini-logo) felt good, lots of pop, lots of concave.
