new longboard
Today my new longboard arrived. It was a birthday present from my sis and bro-in-law (cheers!), and arrived a week or two late ready set up with trucks and wheels (by way of a apology from buffalo longboards for late delivery).
It’s been a year since my last longboard met it’s fate, so it took a minute or two to get back into that leaning/turning style - keeping the faith that gravity will keep you on the board as you lean into turns much further than you would usually on a skateboard.
The combination of lovely fast soft wheels and the slight flex of the board (very slight - this board has a deep concave), makes the rough old pavements feel smooth as butter. I’m not skating to work very often at the moment due to different circumstances, but when I do it’s going to be fun. Tonight I skated home on it, with the first stretch of that being jacobs wells road in Bristol….. wheeeeeeeeeee
