Too Old To Skate

I had an excellent skate at hengrove last night. I was riding a brand new set-up (8″ wide 50-50 shop deck, powell 54mm steve caballero wheels, mini-logo bearings, trackers*) and it felt so good. I’m aching today - general muscle ache through being out of shape and bruised ribs from a slam/commando roll in the big bowl. Apart from local trainee pyromaniacs in the corner it was a chilled evening - makes me look forward to the summer evening sessions.

*my first set - been riding indys for years but saw these at a bargain price in sharkbite window and thought i’d try them - was surprised to find that they both turn and grind - contrary to what I have been told by indy diehards
