a quick catch up..
So what have I been up to skate-wise since I abandoned this blog over a year ago? Skating as much as possible (but never enough!), mostly at Hengrove in Bristol, skated the whippy churchill mini a few times with some old (and new) mates, skated london for a day with an old friend (stockwell, kennington, meanwhile II and meanwhile gardens). Skated the deaner a bit (not enough considering I live so close), and had a hilarious incident where I slammed on the quarter only to find I had tried to come back in from an axle stall with only three wheels, then despite half hour of searching never found the missing wheel, and had to walk home to stick my spare wheels on. Learnt to get over the small spine (rock and to tail) at skate extreme in Newport. Getting frontside ollie disasters back and the occasional frontside ollie to tail on small transitions these days.. Skated Perdiswell in worcester a few times with another old wisbech disciple of sketch who is back on board..
More recently Bobs skate ‘n stag do in plymouth - a legendary skating, drinking and fancy dress weekend that maybe will get written up properly, and I skated bushy park in dublin, which is amazing - go!
Has my skating progressed? A bit. I haven’t got a bag full of new tricks or anything, but compared to how I was three years ago when I started this blog I like to think i’ve come a long way. bloody backside 50-50’s still only getting them occasionally.. grumble.. grumble..

Hi, Rick,
I may have found your wheel at Epic this weekend. We were on the funbox and a wheel came shooting along, but everybody was skating just fine.

Ha ha! that’s excellent - my wheel obviously decided to break out on it’s own and skate better skateparks!
