more new stuff - my work stash
However much I try to stick to a “one board for everything” philosophy, I end up having a few boards scattered around. These are just the ones I keep at work - on the left my faithful commuting board - transport from car/home/kids nursery to office - a wideish blank (8.25) with my old indys and soft wheels, now accompanied by a brand new mini logo board (8.0) to replace the knackered (7.75) green one next to it - this is my spare setup, something to go and skate at lunchtime (not that i’ve really found anywhere decent close by yet). Note the one very gleaming bright wheel - wayne managed to find me a blank flip sidecut to replace the one I lost in a freak incident at dean lane (cheers Wayne!)- it’s 2mm smaller than the other three, but they are worn so it isn’t noticeable.
Talking of board widths, there definately seems to be a trend towards wider boards recently, even amongst the yoof - in my local SOS (50-50 in Bristol) most of the decks I looked through were 8.0 - the guy I spoke to in there said that they definately sell more 8.0’s than anything else recently . Suits me just fine.
