my other new toy

As well as the batch of Too Old to Skate decks I have another new toy to play with- a Path 37 longboard by Original Skateboards. I will be reviewing this for DFR skate zine in the near future, when I have had a chance to try it in anger. I’ve only managed a quick ride on it, but initial impressions are very good - exactly what I have been looking for in a longboard - a bit of flex and responsive steering. It is also laminated top and bottom with carbon/fiberglass which means it should last well. I’m looking forward to reviewing this - anyone want to come and take pics while I injure myself on it, or give it a try?
The board has some unique carving trucks on it - very responsive and very tight turning circle

What trucks are they? They look like some bizarre Seismic-esque trucks. Is that a spring where the kingpin sits?

The trucks are made by Original - the guys who sent the board - yep they use a spring rtaher than bushings - see this page:-
